Gnarls Barkley Announce First Tour in 18 Years

Gnarls Barkley are going back on the road for the first time in nearly two decades. CeeLo Green and producer Danger Mouse have announced the «To Whom It Still Concerns Tour,» a nine-date North American run that begins November 5 at The Masonic in San Francisco.
The tour marks the duo's first live performances together in 18 years, following the release of their 2006 debut album «St. Elsewhere» and its 2008 follow-up «The Odd Couple.» That debut made Gnarls Barkley a defining act of the mid-2000s, driven by the ubiquitous single «Crazy,» which topped charts in the United States and the United Kingdom and won a Grammy Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance.
The reunion arrives after years of the two musicians pursuing separate careers. Danger Mouse, born Brian Burton, became one of the most in-demand producers in music, working with Gorillaz, Adele, The Black Keys, and U2, among others. CeeLo Green built a solo career that included the hit «Forget You» and a stint as a coach on the television singing competition «The Voice.»
The «To Whom It Still Concerns Tour» title nods to the duo's long absence from the stage and the lingering interest in their partnership. The nine-date run represents a limited return rather than a full-scale reunion trek, with the San Francisco opener serving as the first stop on the itinerary.
Gnarls Barkley's music blended soul, hip-hop, rock, and electronic textures in a way that anticipated the genre-fluid pop of the following decade. «St. Elsewhere» sold millions of copies worldwide and earned the duo a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album, while «Crazy» became one of the first songs to reach No. 1 in the UK based on digital sales alone.
The announcement places Gnarls Barkley within a broader wave of 2000s acts returning to touring, as audiences and promoters continue to show strong demand for nostalgia-driven live events. For fans who missed the duo's brief original run, the November dates offer a first chance to see the collaboration performed live.
