Cooper Tomlinson, Jessica Rothe and Mika Abdalla are set to star in Seeker, a mystery-thriller with Adam Rehmeier attached to direct. The project was announced as part of the AFM hot genre package, a slate of genre titles highlighted during the American Film Market.
Rehmeier previously directed Carolina Caroline. Tomlinson recently appeared in Obsession, the Blumhouse and Focus Features release that has been described as a global box office hit. Rothe is best known for Happy Death Day, while Abdalla has appeared in Off Campus. Together, the three actors bring recent genre credentials to a film that sits squarely in the thriller space.
The project is not new to the market. It was first reported about six weeks before this announcement, at which point Rehmeier was already on board as director. The producers attached to Seeker are credited with work on Barbarian, The Menu and Gundam, a track record that places the film among the genre projects drawing attention from buyers and financiers at the market.
Several key details have not been disclosed. The production start date has not been given, and the financing and distribution partners have not been identified. Release timing and platform remain unknown, as does the full plot and the characters the cast will play. The shooting location has also not been stated.
