Dean Norris to take part in r/movies AMA on November 13
The Breaking Bad actor will answer reader questions in a Reddit Q&A on Friday, November 13, while promoting his new book about the series.
Breaking Bad actor Dean Norris will take questions from readers in a Reddit AMA hosted by the r/movies community on Friday, November 13. The session is scheduled to open around 9 a.m. ET, with Norris returning to answer questions at approximately 6 p.m. ET. The date was announced in a post on the subreddit ahead of the event, which the community's moderators framed as a chance for fans to put questions directly to one of the show's best-known cast members.
Norris is best known for playing DEA agent Hank Schrader, the brother-in-law of Walter White, in the AMC drama that ran from 2008 to 2013. The character was a central figure in the series, which followed a high school chemistry teacher turned methamphetamine manufacturer and became one of the most critically acclaimed television dramas of its era. The announcement post pointed to that role as the starting point for the discussion, noting that Norris is also known for a wide range of other work.
The post lists several of his film and television credits, including Total Recall, Starship Troopers, Lethal Weapon 2, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Under the Dome, Better Call Saul and Little Miss Sunshine. Those titles span big-budget science fiction, action films, a long-running network drama and an independent comedy, reflecting a career that has moved steadily between genres and between mainstream studio projects and smaller productions. Readers who want to ask about those roles, the subreddit suggested, are welcome to do so during the session.
The timing of the AMA coincides with the recent release of Norris's book, Do What You're Gonna Do: The Definitive History of Breaking Bad. According to the announcement, the book offers never-before-heard stories and exclusive interviews with the cast, crew, producers, writers, directors and creators of the series. The book's description characterizes it as a definitive insider account of the show, which is why Norris is also scheduled to hold in-person signings and readings throughout November. Those appearances give fans an opportunity to meet him outside the online format.
The subreddit also clarified that the November 13 post is only an announcement and not the AMA itself. Users who want to submit questions were asked to hold them until the live session opens, when Norris will respond directly. The post was submitted under a Reddit username and linked to the community's comment thread, where early questions and reactions were expected to gather ahead of the event.
