Neighbourhood Weekender 2027 line-up announced with Paul Heaton, Courteeners and The Reytons
Neighbourhood Weekender has revealed its 2027 line-up, with Paul Heaton, Courteeners and The Reytons headlining the Warrington festival over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Neighbourhood Weekender has announced the line-up for its 2027 edition, with Paul Heaton, Courteeners and The Reytons set to headline the Warrington festival. The event returns to Victoria Park over the Bank Holiday weekend on May 29 and 30, 2027.
Heaton, joined by special guest vocalist Rianne Downey, and The Reytons will co-headline the Saturday, while Courteeners will close the festival on Sunday night. The weekend line-up also includes The Vaccines, Kingfishr, The Royston Club, The Fratellis, Gabrielle, Badly Drawn Boy and Warrington-born Rick Astley, who will make a special hometown appearance.
The Sunday will host Neighbourhood Weekender's first Haçienda Presents takeover, featuring DJ sets from former Haçienda resident Graeme Park and K-Klass. Organisers have also confirmed the return of the Neighbourhood Inn following feedback from festivalgoers.
Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am on Friday, September 4, via the festival's official website. A local pre-sale for residents in the WA1–WA5 postcode areas will begin at 9.30am on Wednesday, September 2.
For the first time, tickets for children aged 10 and under will be introduced, while children under five will not be admitted. All under-16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over, and a maximum of two children's tickets can be purchased per adult.
The Saturday line-up features Paul Heaton with Rianne Downey, The Reytons, Kingfishr, The Vaccines, The Fratellis, Gabrielle, Badly Drawn Boy, Seb Lowe, The Clause, Keyside, The Clone Roses, The North, Dea Matrona, Strata, Kate Couriel and Mel Raeburn. The Sunday line-up includes Courteeners, The Royston Club, Rick Astley, The Coral, The View, Professor Green, Haçienda Presents with Graeme Park and K-Klass, The Sherlocks, The Covasettes, The Molotovs, The Cheap Thrills, Girl In The Year Above, Cherryholt, Esmeralda Road, Pastel and GIRLBAND!.
This year's edition was led by Richard Ashcroft, Blossoms, DMA's and Kaiser Chiefs, with Shed Seven, Jamie Webster, The K's, Razorlight and Sophie Ellis-Bextor also appearing. Courteeners previously headlined the inaugural Neighbourhood Weekender in 2018, before returning to the festival in 2022.
Courteeners played a sold-out homecoming show to 30,000 fans at Manchester's Wythenshawe Park on August 29, one day after releasing their first 'best of' compilation, 'God Bless The Band'. They will next embark on a six-date UK arena tour in November, including their first headline performance at London's Alexandra Palace.
Speaking to NME in April, frontman Liam Fray reflected on the band's survival as they marked their 20th anniversary. "20 years is not to be sniffed at," he said. "This industry will kick the shit out of you, so to be still breathing and wanting to do it is a fucking miracle, if I'm honest."
Heaton recently released his Ian Broudie-produced 23rd album 'Jenius', which became his first solo Number One album. The Reytons also recently topped the UK Albums Chart with 'A Love Letter To A Broken Town', earning their second Number One album without receiving any mainstream radio play. Astley's hometown appearance follows his recent surprise appearance with Blossoms at Tramlines, where he joined the band to perform their collaboration 'Joke About Divorce'.
