EA Sports FC 27 Soundtrack Revealed With The Strokes, Royal Blood and 120 Artists
EA has unveiled the full soundtrack for EA Sports FC 27, featuring The Strokes, Royal Blood, Blossoms, Yard Act and unreleased music from Cage The Elephant and Mura Masa. The game launches September 25.
Electronic Arts has revealed the complete soundtrack for EA Sports FC 27, the next installment of its long-running football simulation franchise, with The Strokes, Royal Blood, Blossoms, Yard Act and more than 100 other acts set to appear. The game launches on September 25, though players who pre-ordered special editions can begin playing from September 18.
The soundtrack spans 120 artists from 36 countries, a figure EA framed as one of its most globally representative playlists to date. Steve Schnur, president of music and marketing for EA games, described the franchise's musical identity as an institution built over two decades. «The world's game is annually enhanced by the world's soundtrack, and FC 27 delivers one of our most globally representative playlists yet,» Schnur said. «These are the songs that will both define the year ahead and last a lifetime.»
Among the most notable inclusions is «Dying In Reverse,» a previously unreleased track from Cage The Elephant that makes its public debut through the game. The band said in a statement that they were thrilled to have the song introduced to players. «EA always puts together a killer soundtrack for FC, so we were thrilled to have our brand-new song 'Dying In Reverse' make its debut this year,» the group said. «We can't wait to hear it in the game.»
The soundtrack also features unreleased music from producer Mura Masa, alongside contributions from Interpol, Snail Mail, Fat Dog, Shygirl, Nia Archives, Joji, The Neighbourhood, The War On Drugs, Bonobo, Kendrick Lamar, Anderson.Paak, Yung Lean, Maria Becerra, Nathy Peluso, Nicki Nicole and many others. The list mixes established names with emerging acts and viral hits, reflecting the series' longstanding practice of pairing global stars with breaking artists.
EA has not yet confirmed the complete tracklist, noting that more songs will be added when the full game launches into early access next week. The soundtrack is available to stream on Spotify ahead of the game's release.
The EA Sports FC soundtrack has become a significant cultural platform for musicians since the franchise began, with placement in the game often associated with increased exposure among younger audiences. Schnur said the company views the annual playlist as a celebration of artistry and a way to bring people together through music.
EA Sports FC 27 arrives as the franchise continues its post-FIFA rebranding. The game's release date and soundtrack reveal mark the final promotional push before players gain access later this month.
