Casey Affleck’s gothic thriller ‘Company’ premiered at the Venice Film Festival to a four-minute standing ovation, with the director saying he made the film partly in response to global conflicts and personal struggles.
Casey Affleck’s gothic thriller «Company» launched in competition at the Venice Film Festival on Tuesday night, drawing a four-minute standing ovation from the audience inside the Lido’s Palazzo del Cinema. The director and his star, 85-year-old screen legend Nick Nolte, appeared visibly moved as cast members cheered from the crowd, including Indiana Affleck, Emily Alyn Lind, Scoot McNairy, Adelaide Clemens, and Caylee Cowan.
