Prince Harry has revealed that his primary occupation after stepping back from royal life is being a «full-time dad» to his two young children, Archie and Lilibet. The Duke of Sussex made the disclosure during an appearance on the «Joe Marler Will See You Now» podcast, which was released on July 13. The interview, recorded during Harry's recent trip to the United Kingdom, featured the prince introducing himself with his full title before clarifying his current role.
When asked by host Joe Marler, a former England rugby player, to state his name and occupation, Harry replied: «Henry Albert Charles David, Duke of Sussex.» He then listed his roles as «full-time dad, British Army veteran, Prince of England, Duke.» Pressed to choose one, he settled on «Duke.» The exchange surprised royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, who noted that Harry used his title rather than his legal surname, Mountbatten-Windsor. «It was a subtle moment but one that reinforced how closely his identity remains tied to his royal status,» Schofield told Fox News Digital.
The interview was intended to promote the Invictus Games, which Harry founded for wounded veterans and will be held in Birmingham in 2027. During the conversation, Harry corrected Marler when the host referred to him as the «inventor» of the games, insisting on the term «founder.» The prince also shared lighter moments, revealing that his favorite «trashy» TV show is the reality series «Love Island» and joking about the 2014 American show «I Want to Marry Harry,» in which women competed for a date with his lookalike. «I was unavailable at the time,» he quipped.
Harry discussed his grooming routine with characteristic humor, describing it as «s---, shower, shave» and noting that he trims his beard every five to six days. Referring to his receding hairline, he said, «Nothing really happening on top.
