U2 have announced the UK and European leg of their 2027 ‘The Greatest Show On Earth’ stadium tour, with Wolf Alice confirmed as support act for every show. The Irish rock band will play Stockholm, Paris, Lisbon, Amsterdam, London, Berlin and Milan in the spring and early summer of next year, and promised that dates in Ireland, Spain and North America would be announced soon.

The European run follows an earlier announcement this month of a series of South American shows. Due to popular demand, U2 have added extra concerts in Mexico City, São Paulo and Buenos Aires, with Beck supporting the Latin American dates. The band are also preparing to release their long-awaited 16th album, ‘Carnaval De Luz’, on November 13.

The European schedule begins in Stockholm on April 26 and 28 at the Strawberry Arena. U2 then play two nights at the Stade de France in Paris on May 5 and 8, followed by Lisbon’s Estadio da Luz on May 27. The band return for two dates at Amsterdam’s Johan Cruijff Arena on June 5 and 6, and two at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on June 18 and 19. Berlin’s Olympiastadion hosts a show on June 30, and the tour closes its European leg with two nights at Stadio San Siro in Milan on July 5 and 6.

Guitarist The Edge hinted at what lies ahead. “We can’t say too much about the next leg of ‘The Greatest Show On Earth’ – we’re still figuring it out,” he said, “but what we can say is, we’ll be wrapping it up in Ireland. There’s nowhere else we’d want to be for that party.”

The band also explained the thinking behind the title. “’The Greatest Show on Earth’? Now that’s a throwdown. It’s a dare, to ourselves as much as anyone, to try and have the best night of anybody’s life,” the group said. They described the production as “a bit of showman, a bit of shaman, a riot of colour, unreasonable guitar, bass and drums, and tunes you can hold onto.”

Tickets for the UK and European dates will first be available through Subscriber Presale, beginning Monday, November 2 at 10am, before going on general sale. The announcement arrives as U2 prepare to take the tour across three continents, with Ireland and North America still to be confirmed.
