Ozzfest returns to UK in July 2027 at Milton Keynes Bowl
Ozzfest is coming back to the UK in July 2027, moved from Villa Park to the Milton Keynes National Bowl, with tickets on sale from November 6.
Ozzfest is returning to the United Kingdom, with the festival set to take place at the Milton Keynes National Bowl on Saturday, July 10, 2027. The event was originally planned for Villa Park in Birmingham, but the venue has been changed because ongoing construction work at the stadium means it will not be ready for live shows in summer 2027. Organisers have not used the Birmingham ground for the date, and the Bowl becomes the new home for the UK edition.
The revival is being led by Sharon Osbourne, the widow and manager of Ozzy Osbourne, who died in the summer of 2025 at the age of 76. Tickets go on sale from 10am on November 6. Producer and manager Andy Copping is also involved in the project. He previously worked on Back To The Beginning, the farewell concert staged at Villa Park that marked Ozzy Osbourne's final performance with his band. That experience gives the team a direct link to the stadium and to the large-scale production needed for a festival of this size.
The festival has deep ties to Osbourne's legacy. Ozzfest was first held in 1996 and is widely associated with the travelling metal festival format that Ozzy Osbourne helped establish, making it the first travelling metal festival of its kind. Its last edition took place on New Year's Eve 2018 in Inglewood, California. Over the years, the lineup has featured acts including Slipknot, System of a Down, Disturbed, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson, cementing its place as one of the most recognisable touring events in heavy music. The return of the festival therefore revisits a format that was built around the Ozzy Osbourne name.
Ozzfest's return is not limited to Britain. A United States edition is scheduled for September 11, 2027, at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. The first Mexico edition is set for September 18, 2027, at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City. Together, the dates position the revived festival across three countries in the second half of 2027, with the UK date opening the run in July.
Sharon Osbourne has also explained why the festival stopped running in the first place. She said Ozzfest ended because management and agent demands made it unprofitable to continue, a reason that sets the context for the decision to bring it back now under new planning. The Milton Keynes Bowl has recently hosted large-scale events, including Yungblud's BludFest and The Prodigy, and will now welcome the festival as it returns to British audiences after a long absence since the last edition in 2018.
