Kylie Jenner to Star in Hulu Thriller 'Bachelorette Weekend'
Kylie Jenner is set to headline and executive produce 'Bachelorette Weekend,' a thriller drama finalizing a straight-to-series order at Hulu. It marks her first major acting role, following sister Kim Kardashian's path into scripted television.
Kylie Jenner is set to headline and executive produce a new thriller drama titled «Bachelorette Weekend» (working title), which is finalizing a straight-to-series order at Hulu. The project marks the first major acting role for Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner siblings and a billionaire cosmetics entrepreneur.
The series is being developed with Kim Kardashian, Jenner's older sister, attached as an executive producer alongside author Lauren Oliver and Kapital Entertainment. Oliver, known for the young adult novel «Before I Fall» and its film adaptation, is expected to bring a literary thriller sensibility to the project. The involvement of Kim Kardashian, who has recently expanded her own acting career with roles in «American Horror Story: Delicate» and the upcoming Hulu legal drama «All's Fair,» signals a deliberate family strategy to move from reality television into scripted entertainment.
For Jenner, the move represents a significant career pivot. She first gained public attention as a teenager on the E! reality series «Keeping Up with the Kardashians» and later built a cosmetics empire with Kylie Cosmetics. While she has made cameo appearances in music videos and her family's reality shows, «Bachelorette Weekend» would be her first leading role in a scripted series. The thriller genre suggests a darker, more dramatic direction than the lighthearted reality fare that made her famous.
The straight-to-series order at Hulu, rather than a traditional pilot process, indicates strong confidence from the streamer in the project's commercial potential. Hulu has increasingly invested in star-driven limited series and thrillers, and the combination of Jenner's massive social media following and Kardashian's proven ability to draw audiences could make the show a priority for the platform. Details about the plot, additional cast, and production timeline remain under wraps.
The project also reflects a broader trend in the entertainment industry: the migration of reality television personalities into scripted acting. Kim Kardashian's recent roles have been closely watched, and her sister's move suggests that the Kardashian-Jenner brand is seeking to extend its cultural reach beyond unscripted content. Whether audiences will embrace Jenner as a dramatic lead remains an open question, but the Hulu commitment gives the project a prominent platform from the start.
Representatives for Hulu and the producers have not yet commented publicly on the deal, which is still being finalized. If the series moves forward as expected, it will join a growing slate of high-profile thrillers on the streaming service and mark another chapter in the family's evolving entertainment careers.
