Carla Jeffery, the actor best known for playing the cheerleader Bree in Disney’s Zombies franchise, has died. She was 33. Her longtime representatives at Alexanders Talent Management announced her death on social media on September 1 but did not disclose a cause or place of death.
Jeffery first appeared in the 2018 Disney Channel movie Zombies, a musical comedy about a high school where humans and zombies learn to coexist. She reprised the role of Bree in the sequels Zombies 2 (2020) and Zombies 3 (2022), as well as in the 2024 animated series Zombies: The Re-Animated Series. Her character was part of the cheerleading squad at Seabrook High, a central element of the franchise’s upbeat, dance-heavy storytelling.
Before her Disney work, Jeffery had a recurring role on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, appearing in multiple episodes of the comedy series. Her career in front of the camera spanned more than two decades, according to her representatives, who wrote that their hearts were broken as they mourned the loss of their beloved client.
